How to sew a bra – Step 5.4: Cutting – Cutting interface

The last pieces to cut are from interface fabric. I’ll be using the following pattern pieces: F1, F2, F3 (for cups), H2 (for cradle).

Inspect the fabric, find DOGS. Although, interface fabric doesn’t stretch in any direction, take as DOGS the width of the fabric. Fold the fabric in two, just like we did with the lace.

Align pattern pieces. Very important: place the cradle on the fold line!

When satisfied, pin and cut. You should end up with these

On the other side, pattern pieces are still pinned. Leave them as they are. Later on, we will take the paper off.

Since this is the last part on cutting bra pieces, here is what you should have if you have followed my tutorial step by step.

All this effort in these tiny little parts: foam, lace, and interfacing. But we are almost ready to start sewing!
