I got a LOT of requests. I can't express my gratitude for your interest in my panties pattern.
I finally got to a point where I feel my panties pattern is ready for you to try it. I started this pattern as a basic piece from an everyday lingerie wear.
Every sewing pattern company uses its own method for drawing patterns. Please, see bellow how to take body measurements that are used in my waist patterns.
I have never thought I would try to dye laces and elastics. But there are so many colors out there: bras and panties in shades of pinks, turquoise, green and unimaginable combinations. And when you look at your stash and all you see is white, beige and black, you start to boil your thoughts. How can I get my hand on some colors?
It's been a long, long, long time since I have written. But there was some sewing. Testing new Maya Panties.
Hemming the bottom of the dress. Serge or zig-zag the edge. Press if the fabric has stretched a bit. And hem the bottom using your preferred method.
Moving on to side seams. This is easy. Pin front to back. Then stitch using elastic or zig-zag stitch. Serge the edges and press your seams to the back.
In the next steps we will be working on the neck shape. Sew back facing pieces to front facing piece on the shoulder lines.
Because our dress is made from elastic fabric, we will have to secure shoulder seams so that they do not stretch when you wear the dress.
