I got a LOT of requests. I can’t express my gratitude for your interest in my panties pattern.
My sewing patterns are gathered under this category. These can be lingerie, dresses or pants patterns. Posts tell about available free patterns. Some posts are about pattern development.
I finally got to a point where I feel my panties pattern is ready for you to try it. I started this pattern as a basic piece from an everyday lingerie wear.
It’s been a long, long, long time since I have written. But there was some sewing. Testing new Maya Panties.
Hemming the bottom of the dress. Serge or zig-zag the edge. Press if the fabric has stretched a bit. And hem the bottom using your preferred method.
Moving on to side seams. This is easy. Pin front to back. Then stitch using elastic or zig-zag stitch. Serge the edges and press your seams to the back.
In the next steps we will be working on the neck shape. Sew back facing pieces to front facing piece on the shoulder lines.
Because our dress is made from elastic fabric, we will have to secure shoulder seams so that they do not stretch when you wear the dress.
Prepare back pieces. Sew darts using either elastic stitch or zig-zag for knits. Press darts in the shown direction.Pin back pieces together in center line.
Prepare to sew center front with 2 side front pieces. There are 8 notches that must fit. Before sewing, pin the notches together.
