Terms of use for PDF Sewing Patterns
General
All sewing patterns available on this website and sold via the Afi Atelier Shop are the intellectual property of Afi Atelier and are protected by European Union Copyright Law. These patterns are offered under strict terms of use. The terms (which we also may call usage license or simply license) are divided into the following types:
A license is valid per package only. An example: if you buy Package 1 Small Business of a particular pattern, and Package 2 Personal Usage of the same pattern, you are allowed business activities (stated in the Small Business Allowed Usage section) only with sizes from Package 1. If there is a usage that you need (or is not clear) but is not stated in the sections please contact us at www.afiatelier.com to discuss and clarify it.
If you did not purchase the pattern but it was gifted by Afi Atelier explicitly (email / written social media conversation): the rules in the pattern package apply as if you purchased it. You are granted no rights if you did NOT purchase this pattern. This means you can not use the pattern. Please obtain a legit copy by purchasing the pattern.
Please act in accordance with the copyright rules and abide by the terms of use. Afi Atelier reserves the right to refine the terms of use over time. Please check this page for the latest and most complete version.
Glossary
Describe the allowed and prohibited actions with the particular pattern package.
A Small Business is identified as a company or any commercial activity group/organization that consists of up to 5 individuals employed in that particular company/organization. The license is applicable to all members of your company.
A workshop is a live event with limited occurrences. An in-person course is a physical gathering that can take place several times or recurrent times. A paid online course is a video uploaded to a server and to which viewers have access only by paying for it. If a workshop is recorded and uploaded to a server, thus becoming an online video, it is no longer a workshop, but an online course

- share or distribute the pattern with others in any form: digital or prints
- sell the pattern as your own pattern and/or design in any form (digital or prints)
- reproduce the pattern, copy or rebrand, or replicate
- change or alter the pattern and sell or share, or distribute as your own pattern
- teach classes or workshops using this pattern package
- develop and publish paid online classes or tutorials using this pattern package
- develop a business or support/boost your business with this home usage pattern package or garments sewn from this package
- sell garments on any scale made from this package
- organize and hold a runway or any other fashion show with garments made with this pattern
- develop a brand or any brand materials (logos etc) with any resources from this pattern and garments made from this pattern
allowed usage
- for you to learn to sew an underwire bra
- for you to sew bras for yourself
- for you to sew bras for your family members or friends (or any other person) without collecting a revenue
Sharing
Sharing parts of the pattern, like images or other content (pages, paragraphs, tables, diagrams, etc) from any file in this pattern package is not allowed unless permissions are granted via an explicit email.
Small Business
It is strictly prohibited to
- to accept and assume credit for the pattern as your own
- share or distribute the pattern with others (except the allowed cases stated in the Allowed Usage section) in any form: digital or prints
- sell the pattern as your own pattern and/or design in any form (digital or prints)
- reproduce the pattern, copy or rebrand, or replicate
- change or alter the pattern and sell or share, or distribute as your own pattern
- develop and publish paid online classes using this pattern package
- organize and hold a runway or any other fashion show with garments made from this pattern
- develop a brand or any brand materials (logos etc) with any resources from this pattern and garments made from this pattern
allowed usage

Custom bra maker
- for you to fit and sew bras for your customers with or without collecting a revenue
Small lingerie shop
- for you to sew bras or (as part of) lingerie collection and sell garments made from this pattern in your own shop
In-person workshop or course
- for you to teach students to sew and fit a bra
- students can use the full pattern package at your course only
- students can leave the workshop with the pattern pieces for their size only (not their package); this applies to pattern pieces but not the instructions
- if a student wants to have the full pattern package for her/his own, he/she should purchase the pattern
- as the host of your courses and owner of the Small Business license for this package, Afi Atelier provides a special coupon for your students only to purchase their own pattern copy at a discounted price; the coupon is valid for 1 year from the day it is created; the coupon has a limited number of purchases (todo the number); contact Afi Atelier via the Contact form to request your coupon
Online workshop
- for you to teach students to sew and fit a bra
- students must purchase their own pattern copy
Other
- if you are a lingerie supplies shop you are allowed to support/boost your business with garments made from this pattern
Sharing
