Besides elastics, I think the most important part on a bra, is the cup-band seam. Before going any further, let’s check again if cups are aligned right.

Take the cup, choose the right place on the cradle. We will be pining the cradle to the cup in critical points. Will be doing that to fix the cup position.

We are going to sew curved seams which many of you know, are quite tricky. That’s why before the actual sewing we have to prepare the cradle.

By now we have the cradle and the wings (cut from lace). Remove pins and paper. Split back wings and place them to the corresponding side.

Before assembling the band we need to stabilize (prepare) the cradle. The cradle is the fix part that offers most of the support.

There is only one thing left to finish the cup. Is to apply some embellishment. I chose a thin stretch lace.

Arrange pieces. Right side is facing you – both the foam and lace. Careful to match left lace cup under the left foam and right lace cup under the right foam.

Prepare your cup pieces that were cut from lace. On your pieces there will be notches. When joining pieces together notches must match.
